A glowing document and shield representing the MatchFlow Terms of Service

The short version: be honest, respect others, protect personal information, and do not use MatchFlow to harm people. We explain important account or content decisions and preserve rights the law gives you.

1. Acceptance of these TermsWhen these Terms apply and what forms our agreement.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and MatchFlow.gg (“MatchFlow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) covering the MatchFlow website, mobile applications, Discord bot, matching tools, community spaces, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, clicking an acceptance control, or accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the MatchFlow Community Guidelines presented through the Service, which form part of these Terms and apply to profiles, private and community messages, media, reactions, live features, and spaces connected to MatchFlow. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use MatchFlow for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. Eligibility and ageMatchFlow is for people aged 13 or older, with adult features reserved for adults.

You must be at least 13 years old to use MatchFlow. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms with you and provide any permission required by applicable law. You may not use the Service if applicable law bars you from receiving it or if we previously banned you, unless we expressly approve your return.

Provide your real age information. MatchFlow separates minors from adults for age sensitive features. Dating related connection preferences, including Friends and more, are available only to members aged 18 or older. We may use proportionate age assurance, restrict features or access, or request additional confirmation where required for safety or law. If we learn that an ineligible person has an account, we may restrict or delete it and related data.

3. Accounts and securityKeep your details accurate and your credentials protected.

You are responsible for accurate account and profile information, safeguarding your password and connected sign in accounts, and activity under your account. Do not sell, transfer, share, or create deceptive or duplicate accounts. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may sign in through email, Discord, or Google. Each external provider's terms govern its sign-in service. MatchFlow usernames and display names must follow our technical limits and must not impersonate others or mislead the community.

4. How MatchFlow worksMatching suggestions are helpful signals, not guarantees.

MatchFlow uses profile details, interests, preferences, age segmentation, activity, and other signals to suggest people and communities. Suggestions, profile completion scores, compatibility indicators, availability, and automated messages are informational only. We do not guarantee a match, response, relationship, identity, background, intent, or outcome.

Some messages may come from clearly identified system or bot accounts, including Layla. We will not intentionally present an automated account as an ordinary human user.

5. Community conductBe respectful, lawful, authentic, and safe.

You may not use MatchFlow to harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, groom, dox, defraud, spam, discriminate against, or deliberately endanger anyone. Hate speech; sexual content shared without consent; sexual exploitation; content involving minors; credible threats; instructions for serious wrongdoing; malicious software; scams; impersonation; ban evasion; unauthorized scraping; and illegal goods, services, or content are prohibited.

Respect consent and boundaries. Do not pressure anyone to share money, passwords, financial information, intimate material, precise location, or private documents. Do not interfere with security, reverse engineer protected parts of the Service, overload our systems, or access data without permission. Follow applicable law and our reasonable safety instructions.

6. Your contentYou keep ownership and give us a limited operating license.

“Content” includes profile information, photos, messages, reactions, GIF selections, reports, feedback, and anything else you submit. You retain any ownership rights you have. You alone are responsible for your Content and conduct, including their legality, accuracy, and consequences. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Content and that it complies with these Terms.

User Content is supplied by users, not MatchFlow. We do not adopt, endorse, sponsor, or make user Content our own merely by hosting, transmitting, recommending, moderating, or displaying it. Users are not MatchFlow employees, agents, representatives, or spokespersons, and cannot create obligations on our behalf.

You grant MatchFlow a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, display, transmit, and distribute your Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service. This license ends when the Content is deleted from our active systems, except where it remains in another user’s conversation, a report, a legally required record, or a backup kept for a limited time.

Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, but we will not publicly identify you as its source without permission.

7. Moderation, reports, and enforcementWe may act to protect people and the integrity of MatchFlow.

We may review reports and use automated or human systems to detect spam, abuse, fraud, security threats, illegal content, or violations of these Terms. Depending on context and severity, we may warn users; limit visibility or features; remove content; preserve evidence; block contact; suspend or terminate accounts; prevent another registration using account, device, network, or identity signals; or notify appropriate authorities.

Where applicable law requires it, we will provide an affected user with a clear reason for a restriction and a way to ask for review, unless doing so would compromise safety, an investigation, legal obligations, or system security. Contact us if you believe a decision was mistaken. Repeated or serious violations may lead to permanent removal.

8. User interactions and safetyUse care online and if you decide to meet offline.

MatchFlow does not routinely verify identities, perform background checks, or supervise private conversations. People may be inaccurate, deceptive, offensive, unsafe, or unlawful. You are responsible for evaluating and assuming the risks of your interactions, what you choose to share, and any decision to communicate, send money, exchange files, or meet. MatchFlow is not a party to arrangements or disputes between users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MatchFlow is not responsible for a user’s acts, omissions, statements, Content, identity, promises, transactions, meetings, or resulting harm. This does not exclude responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, including responsibility arising from our own unlawful conduct. Review our Safety Tips, use block and report controls, and stop communicating if something feels unsafe.

If you meet someone offline, choose a public place, arrange your own transportation, tell someone you trust, and keep control of your personal information. MatchFlow is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services where there is an immediate threat or risk of harm.

9. Privacy and communicationsHow account data and service notices relate to these Terms.

Our privacy disclosures explain what personal data we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, when it is shared, and the rights available to you. Privacy settings affect what other users see but cannot prevent processing needed to provide, secure, or comply with law for the Service.

We may send transactional communications such as security alerts, match or message notifications, moderation notices, and material Terms updates. Where marketing consent is required, marketing is optional and may be withdrawn without losing core service access.

10. External servicesConnected services have their own terms and availability.

The Service may interoperate with Discord, Google, GIPHY, app stores, notification providers, hosting services, or links supplied by users. External providers are responsible for their own services, content, security, and terms. Their availability may change, and we are not responsible for acts by external providers outside our control.

Do not treat an external link, GIF, profile, or integration as an endorsement by MatchFlow. You remain responsible for reviewing the relevant terms before using those services.

11. MatchFlow intellectual propertyOur software, brand, and original designs remain protected.

The Service, excluding user Content, is owned by or licensed to MatchFlow and protected by intellectual property and other laws. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. No rights are granted to use MatchFlow names, logos, source code, datasets, or designs except as the Service permits or we approve in writing.

This includes the code your browser or app downloads to run the Service. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it, decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble it, or try to derive its source code, except where applicable law expressly allows this despite these Terms. You may not use any part of the Service, its code, or its designs to build or improve a competing product or service.

If you believe Content infringes copyright or another legal right, email [email protected] with identification of the protected work or right, the material and information sufficient to locate it, your contact details, a good faith statement explaining the claim, and confirmation that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act. We may request legally required statements or signatures, forward a notice or response to the affected user, and remove or restore Content as applicable law requires.

We maintain and reasonably enforce a policy addressing repeat infringement and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. A rights notice must be truthful. Knowingly material misrepresentations may create liability under applicable law.

12. Account deletion and terminationYou may leave; we may restrict accounts for valid reasons.

You may stop using MatchFlow at any time and may request permanent account deletion through available account controls. Deletion removes or anonymizes account data according to our disclosed retention practices, subject to backups, fraud prevention, safety records, legal obligations, dispute preservation, and content already shared with others.

We may suspend or terminate access for a Terms violation, risk to users, legal requirement, security issue, extended inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service. When reasonably possible and legally appropriate, we will give notice and an explanation. Terms that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, accrued rights, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, continue after termination.

13. Service and Terms changesMaterial changes will be communicated before they apply.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the Service, respond to law or safety risks, or address technical and business needs. We will not charge you without clearly presenting the price and obtaining any consent required by law.

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the Service, email, or another appropriate channel and state the effective date. Changes generally apply prospectively. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account before they take effect.

15. General termsHow the agreement is interpreted and transferred.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only as much as necessary and the remainder will continue. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. These Terms are the agreement about the Service except for additional terms expressly presented for a specific feature.

You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or by operation of law, provided your mandatory rights are not reduced. Events beyond reasonable control may delay performance. Headings and summaries help navigation but do not replace the full text.

16. Contact and complaintsQuestions, rights requests, moderation reviews, and legal notices.

Contact [email protected] for questions about these Terms, account complaints, moderation reviews, safety concerns, intellectual property claims, or other legal notices. Identify the specific user, Content, location, and legal or policy concern and provide information reasonably necessary to assess the notice. Do not email passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

You may also use the reporting tools in the app. We may remove or restrict access to reported Content, preserve relevant records, notify the affected user, request more information, and provide a reason or review mechanism where applicable law requires. Reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome. If consumer law gives you the right to complain to a regulator, consumer protection body, or court, these Terms do not restrict that right.
