A glowing document and shield representing the MatchFlow Community Guidelines

The short version: Be respectful, protect privacy, keep conversations appropriate, and use block or report tools instead of escalating conflict.

Where these Guidelines applyEvery surface where members can see each other.
  • Profiles and usernames
  • Private and community messages
  • Reactions, GIFs, images, and links
  • Voice, video, and live features when available
  • MatchFlow community spaces and services
1. Behavior & RespectTreat every person with dignity and do not disrupt the community.

Be respectful. No harassment, hate, bullying, threats, targeted provocation, or intimidation.

No discrimination. Do not attack or exclude people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or another protected characteristic.

Do not disrupt conversations. No trolling, deliberate derailment, hostile baiting, or attempts to make shared spaces unusable.

Follow moderator instructions. Comply with reasonable safety and moderation directions. Use the review or support process if you disagree.

2. Safety & ContentKeep content lawful, consensual, and appropriate for an age separated friendship community.

No sexual or graphic content. No pornography, nudity, sexual solicitation, graphic violence, or other explicit content.

No exploitation or dangerous activity. Content involving sexual exploitation, grooming, credible threats, illegal activity, or harm to minors is prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Creating, sharing, requesting, storing, or describing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation of anyone under 18, or any sexualised contact with a minor ends the account permanently, preserves evidence, and is escalated to authorities where required. See matchflow.gg/safety/child-safety.

Never misrepresent your age. Adults may not present themselves as minors and minors may not present themselves as adults. MatchFlow keeps under-18 and adult members apart; deceiving that separation is a serious violation.

Content is checked automatically. Messages, posts, profile text, and uploads are automatically checked by MatchFlow's safety systems and third-party safety processors before others see them. Content that may break these Guidelines is not delivered and may be reviewed by the MatchFlow team.

Do not encourage self harm. Do not encourage, glorify, instruct, or joke about suicide or self harm. Sincere requests for help and supportive responses should be directed toward trusted or professional help.

Protect personal information. Do not expose private or identifying information about yourself or anyone else, including addresses, passwords, financial details, private documents, or precise location.

3. Communication & Community UseUse the right spaces, respect contact preferences, and keep content relevant.

Use the appropriate space. Keep posts relevant to the room, channel, thread, or feature. Use multilingual areas for community conversations in other languages where available.

Respect messaging preferences. Do not contact someone who has declined, blocked you, or indicated that they do not want direct messages.

No unsolicited advertising. Do not advertise, promote yourself, recruit for external servers or group chats, or repeatedly ask people to move to another service without permission.

Remember shared spaces are public. Keep sensitive jokes and private disputes out of community spaces. Use support or reporting tools for personal or moderation issues.

4. Spam & Platform AbuseDo not manipulate, overwhelm, or bypass MatchFlow systems.

No spam or flooding. Do not send repetitive, excessive, irrelevant, or disruptive messages, reactions, mentions, media, or requests.

Do not bypass protections. Do not evade filters or enforcement with altered words, symbols, emojis, links, files, or other tricks.

No scams or manipulation. Do not impersonate others, distribute malicious content, solicit money deceptively, manipulate engagement, or abuse MatchFlow features.

No unauthorized automation. Do not scrape, send messages in bulk, automate accounts, or use tools that interfere with the Service without written permission.

5. Accounts & EnforcementUse one authentic account and handle moderation concerns privately.

One account per person. Do not create alternate accounts to deceive others, manipulate features, avoid restrictions, or return after a ban.

Keep enforcement matters private. Do not argue about warnings, mutes, restrictions, or bans in public areas. Contact MatchFlow support or use an available review process.

Intent does not erase impact. Saying “I was joking” does not excuse content or conduct that violates these Guidelines.

Block or report instead of escalating. If someone bothers you, disengage and use MatchFlow’s block and report tools rather than retaliating.

Follow applicable platform terms. Follow the MatchFlow Terms and Community Guidelines whenever you use MatchFlow services.

6. Voice & Live FeaturesThese rules apply whenever voice, video, screen sharing, or live rooms are available.

Keep audio comfortable. No yelling, loud or disruptive sounds, constant background noise, or music played through your microphone. Activate your microphone only while speaking when needed.

Do not disrupt voice chat. Do not use voice changers, soundboards, or similar tools to deceive, harass, overwhelm, or disrupt a conversation.

Stream only what you may share. Do not stream copyrighted movies, shows, music, videos, or other protected material without permission or another lawful basis.

EnforcementWhat happens when these Guidelines are broken.

Violations may result in a warning, content removal, feature restriction, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on context, severity, and history.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service. MatchFlow reporting is not an emergency service.

Questions about a moderation decision go to Support. Concerns about a child's safety are covered by our Child Safety Standards.
