Update

Ask for a song at any venue, and share your screen at the Cinema

Your song plays next at any venue, once, for the whole room, even with a full playlist. Screen sharing moves to the Cinema.

What's new

Every venue in FreeWorlds now works like the Mainstage. Put a song on at the Arena, Scarlet Club, the Cinema or anywhere else of ours and it is a request: it plays next, once, for everyone in the room.

A full playlist no longer turns you away. Each venue keeps its own playlist, put together by the FreeWorlds team, and your request waits its turn beside it instead of taking a place on it.

Sharing your screen now happens at the Cinema. Its big screen is made for watching together, so that is where you share a film, a game or your photos with the room.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Go to a venueOpen Spaces on the dock, pick the Official tab and press Go there on any venue.
  2. Request a songClick what plays the music, like the Arena's LED wall, and open its panel. Pick YouTube or SoundCloud, paste a link or search, and press Request. Your song plays next, after any requests already waiting.
A venue's media panel open on YouTube: a box for a link, the REQUEST button and a note to paste a link to ask for a song.

  3. Share at the CinemaAt the Cinema, choose Share screen on its big screen or on the bar under it.

Good to know

  • You can have 2 requests waiting at a time.
  • A song you asked for leaves the playlist once it has played, so the venue's own playlist stays as it is.
  • Only one provider plays at a time: while YouTube is on, a SoundCloud song waits until it is done.
  • In your own home and in friends' rooms, sharing works as before, wherever the owner lets visitors share.
