Hold hands and dance together

Ask someone to hold your hand, walk round together and pick from seven couple dances. It is free for everyone.

What's new

Some things are better with two. You can now take someone by the hand in FreeWorlds and walk round together, and when the music is right, ask them to dance.

There are seven couple dances to start with, from a gentle Sweetheart Sway to Twirl & Roll, Face to Face and a proper Slow Dance. You can also dance one of your own saved dances together, and your partner dances it as your mirror image.

It costs nothing and needs no item. All it takes is a yes from the other person.

Step by step

How it works

Stand next to themBoth of you need to be on your feet and close together. Click their avatar to open its menu.
Ask to hold handsPick HOLD HANDS. They get a box that says you would like to hold their hand, with Accept and Decline. They have half a minute to answer.

Walk togetherOnce you are holding hands, either of you can lead. Click somewhere and you both walk there side by side.
Pick a danceClick your partner and choose DANCE TOGETHER, then pick a dance from the list. You can also ask somebody you are not holding hands with yet: if they say yes, you take their hand and start dancing straight away.

Let goA dance keeps going until one of you presses Stop dancing or walks off. To let go of their hand, click them and pick LET GO.

Good to know

Sitting down, leaving the room or ending up far apart lets go of your partner's hand too.
You can only hold hands with somebody on your side of the age line: adults with adults, teens with teens. Blocking works as everywhere else in World.
If someone says no, wait a moment before you ask again.
