New feature

Share your screen on a TV or the Cinema screen

Share your computer's screen onto a TV or the Cinema's big screen, with its sound, for everyone in the room.

Free account, straight into World. Already on MatchFlow? Log in with the same account.

What's new

TVs in World could already play YouTube and SoundCloud. Now they can show your screen too. Share a browser tab, a window or your whole screen and it plays on the TV for everyone in the room, live, with its sound.

It works on any TV and on the big screen at the FreeWorlds Cinema, so a movie night, a game you are playing or holiday photos can all go up where everyone can see them.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Pick a TVClick a TV in the room. In your own home you can always share. In somebody else's room you can share once its owner lets visitors, in the TV's Settings. At FreeWorlds' own venues, anyone in the room can.
  2. Press SHARE SCREENChoose SHARE SCREEN on the TV's menu, or Share screen in its WATCH panel or on the Cinema's bar. Your browser asks what to share.
The menu round a TV in a living room in FreeWorlds: WATCH, SHARE SCREEN, EDIT, MOVE, FIND ITEM and INFO.
The TV's menu with SHARE SCREEN.
  3. Share the sound tooTo share sound, tick Share audio in your browser's picker. Without it the room gets the picture only.
  4. Stop when you are donePress STOP SHARING on the TV, or Stop sharing in your browser. It also ends if you leave the room.

Good to know

  • Sharing works from a computer in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Phones can watch but not share.
  • Firefox shares the picture without the sound.
  • One person shares on a TV at a time. Whatever the TV was playing pauses while you share.
  • The owner of a room and the people who decorate it can stop a share on their TVs.
  • What you share is checked while it is on, the way every TV is (see Safer TVs).
  • Watching a share and switching to another tab? It waits 5 minutes for you, then starts again by itself when you are back.
